Lots of us have spent years studying languages, but have only ever managed to achieve a basic knowledge of grammatical concepts and vocabulary, we have spent years of learning complicated rules which are easy to forget and difficult to put into practice.

At Shakespeare Idiomas, experience has taught us that what language learners really need is to have the confidence and skills to speak, understand and write another language.

Traditional teaching methods did not present an opportunity to actually speak in the foreign language, to listen to foreign language speakers, to write emails to real people, to listen to music and understand the words, or even to watch films in original version.

When we don’t have the opportunity to apply our knowledge, rules are forgotten and it becomes hard to remember why you started learning the language in the first place.

Everyone has a unique way of learning, which means it is impossible to apply one method of Teaching to all learners.
